Deleting your data

Almost everything stays on your phone

Your journal, saved jokes and verses, lists, calendar entries, photos, recordings, mood check-ins and honey pot all live on your own device. They are never sent to us and we cannot see them.

To remove all of it: delete the app from your phone. Everything goes with it. You can also clear individual items from inside the app at any time — open Profile and use the delete controls there.

If you would like to keep a copy first, use Back up my Honey in Profile before deleting.

What we do keep

There is one exception. If you sent us a picture through the Funny Funnel, that picture is stored on our server so we can read your joke and decide whether to add it to the app.

These pictures are stored without your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you. We keep them only while we are considering the submission.

How to ask us to delete something

Email laugh@tellmehoneyapp.com with the subject line Delete my submission, and tell us:

• roughly when you sent it
• what the picture showed, or the joke it went with

We will find it and delete it within 30 days, and reply to let you know it is done. There is nothing to pay and you do not need to give a reason.

What is deleted and what is kept

Deleted on request: any picture you sent us through the Funny Funnel.

Deleted by you, from your phone: journals, saved items, lists, recordings, photos, check-ins — everything else.

Kept: nothing else. We hold no accounts, no email lists from the app, no usage history and no advertising or tracking data.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. To cancel, use Manage my subscription in Profile, or your device’s own subscription settings. We never see your payment details.
